The Legacy of the Mourgues
The Legacy of the Mourgues
BORROWED CHARM & HISTORY
A former agricultural estate of the Ursulines de Beaucaire since the 16 th century, the estate owes its name to the nuns called ‘Mourgues’ in the Provençal language.
‘Grès’ comes from the rounded rocks of the Costières de Nîmes that give our wine their character.
A Beautiful Adventure
A Beautiful Adventure
“I came back to the family estate in 1990, confident in the potential of the terroir and the prospects of the new designation of the Costières de Nîmes Label of Origin.
It was precision in the vineyard coupled with a taste for innovation that led to the bottling of the first wine in 1993. I strive to reveal the purity of the fruit, the freshness, the aromas, the balance between the richness and the minerality of the wine.
This original balance contributes to the recognition the estate has received from the press.”

A SHARED PASSION
Accompanying me on this adventure marketing our wines is my wife, Anne.
Her experience as an urbanist-geographer is one of the reasons for our particular attachment to our landscape and environment. And so, your visit to the estate will be richer still with our nature-oriented approach. The trail that takes you through the vineyards and orchards is interspersed with information markers that allow a perfect understanding of our vintage.
The Expression of Fruit
The Expression of Fruit
SIMPLY NATURAL
All our actions, be it in the vineyard or the cellar, are guided by our mindfulness of nature, and respect for the terroir and the environment. Our official certification in Organic Agriculture in 2004 corresponds to these convictions.
Since 2015, vinificaiton has been carried out without sulphur for more purity and intense fruitiness. A light addition and a very slight filtration during bottling ensures the stability of the wine.
May these bottles accompany your delectable moments of conviviality and celebration!
